Radio boss said new recruits should have blonde hair, blue eyes and big boobs

 

The boss of a radio station, owned by a four-time 100 Best Companies to Work For award-winning company, is facing sexual harassment and unfair dismissal claims.

Dawn Carney, the former Commercial Director of Star Radio in Darlington, told a tribunal that her then boss, John Clayton, made sexist and inappropriate comments that made her “extremely uncomfortable”.

Star Radio is owned by UKRD Group which has been ranked 1st in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For for the past four years.
