Radio boss said new recruits should have blonde hair, blue eyes and big boobs

The boss of a radio station, owned by a four-time 100 Best Companies to Work For award-winning company, is facing sexual harassment and unfair dismissal claims.

Dawn Carney, the former Commercial Director of Star Radio in Darlington, told a tribunal that her then boss, John Clayton, made sexist and inappropriate comments that made her “extremely uncomfortable”.

Star Radio is owned by UKRD Group which has been ranked 1^st in The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For for the past four years.
