
McCarthy and Stone, the retirement homes business, is set to expand their company to add 400 jobs and build 12,000 new homes, amid concerns over housing shortages.
The company is set to invest £2 billion over four years in a bid to provide more accommodation for the growing elderly population. The offices located in the north, south west and Midlands will be split in two with their own dedicated unit, and new houses will be built in 300 new locations. The corporation recently added their first new regional office for 14 years in North London.
Chief Executive, Clive Fenton said: “We know from our many developments that increased quality and availability of owner-occupied retirement housing provides a well-deserved solution for our customers.
