LGBT staff too uncomfortable to 'come out' quit roles and cost firms millions

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees are quitting their jobs because they don’t feel comfortable enough to “come out” at work, costing businesses millions.

A LGBT2020 report recommends that businesses implement better “diversity and inclusion” policies to encourage LGBT employees to be themselves. Which in turn, could save the UK economy £678 million a year.

According to the report, Australian LGBT employees were the most comfortable with being themselves at work with 51% disclosing their sexuality.
