Jane Fonda calls for action on director gender discrimination

Acting great Jane Fonda has said Hollywood studios that fail to hire female directors should be publicly named and shamed.

The two-time best actress Oscar winner said that top bosses were awarding director jobs to men similar to themselves

“The studios are run by men and they have the bottom line to meet and they give jobs to people like them,” said Fonda at the Women at Sundance brunch on Tuesday.
