
eBay announced that it planned to cut 2,400 jobs in the first quarter, according to a statement released by the US e-commerce giant on Wednesday.
Plans to decrease the workforce come ahead of a proposal to split from its online payment PayPal business this year.
In a statement released by the organisation, eBay confirmed that it wanted to refocus the business and ensure it was “set-up to compete and win”.
