Apple's Tim Cook's salary up more than 40%

Tim Cook, the Chief Executive of tech giant Apple, saw his base salary increase by nearly 43% in February last year, according to the company.

Cook’s wages rose from $1.4million (£935,000) $2million (£1.3million) and his total remuneration also received a boost as it more than doubled to $9.2million in 2014.

Cook became the firm’s chief executive in August 2011 and since November of the same year, his salary hasn’t increased.
