
British workers receive 1,728 inane emails every year, according to a poll.
Headset maker, Sennheiser Communications, found that emails about fire drills, Secret Santa and missing food from the fridge were considered to be among the most irritating for workers, as was subject headings such as 'organising a whip around', 'please sponsor me' and 'happy birthday'.
The Daily Mail reports that the poll discovered that throughout a typical day, the average employee receives 7.2 ‘pointless’ emails; that’s 36 a week or 1,728 a year.
