City Link staff to tell MPs of plight

MPs are to meet staff of the collapsed courier firm, City Link, to answer questions regarding the handling of the crisis that resulted in 2,356 job losses across the UK.

The Scottish Affairs Select Committee will meet workers and sub-contractors in Glasgow today, and will question Mick Cash, General Secretary of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union, in Westminster on Tuesday.

Ian Davidson MP, chair of the committee, said: "The collapse of City Link has resulted in redundancies across Scotland and 2356 jobs lost across the UK.
