Philippine traffic officers told to wear adult nappies for Pope visit

If you think your job stinks, spare a thought for traffic officers in the Philippines who have been instructed to wear adult diapers during the Pope’s visit next week, to prevent gridlocks on the streets of Manila.

2,000 traffic enforcers will be required to wear the incontinence aids while on duty 15-19 January, when Pope Francis visits the country, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman, Francis Tolentino.

He claimed that the officers were happy with the nappies and that the idea had been “well received”.
