Bank fashion chain goes into administration

Bank, the high street fashion chain has fallen into administration and this has put 1,500 jobs at risk.

Bank was founded by Andy Scott - a former Macclesfield Town footballer - in 1994, and focuses on branded fashion items aimed at the youth market and is based in Bury in Greater Manchester.

The fashion chain currently has 84 stores and around 1,555 employees on its wage bill. However, the firm has been loss-making for a number of years now according to Bill Dawson from Deloitte, who has been appointed as administrator.
