
Asda is facing mass legal action from its female store employees that could result in the company paying high levels of compensation, according to the BBC.
More than 1,000 women have lodged employment tribunal claims against the supermarket giant.
Their compliant being that they are not paid the same as their male counterparts working in the distribution warehouses, in spite of their jobs being of "equivalent value".
