Morrisons set up helpline for staff whose bank details were stolen

Staff at Morrisons supermarkets have had their personal payroll data stolen and published online.

Morrisons confirmed the theft of staff data – which included bank account details – said it had now been removed from the internet.

CEO Dalton Philips will head the theft response action and the organisation has said it called in police and cybercrime experts along with arranging communications with banks handling staff accounts. They also set up a helpline for their employees.
