Google CFO to take on HR duties

The Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Google will be overseeing human resources as part of a management shakeup.

Patrick Pichette is reported to be taking on new duties including business operations and HR at the search giant, following the return of CEO Larry Page.

Pichette is said to be taking over the business operations duties of the firm’s Vice President Shona Brown. Brown, who is reportedly taking responsibility for Google.org, had also once been in charge of “People Operations” which HR is called at Google.

More recently, the firm’s Vice President Lazlo Bock had run HR. Bock initially reported to Brown and later to former CEO Eric Schmidt.
