Roxanne Decyk, currently Shell’s Corporate Affairs and Sustainable Development Director, will step down from the Executive Committee, and will lead Shell’s Government Affairs department in Washington. As a result, her responsibilities have been assigned to different members of the executive committee. Mitchell will be affected, as communications, health and security will be combined with the current responsibilities of the HR Director.
Furthermore, Royal Dutch Shell plc also announced that Peter Voser will take over from their current CEO Jeroen van der Veer on the 1st July 2009. Van der Veer joined Shell in 1971 and originally worked in the manufacturing and marketing departments. He has held a variety of senior roles (including Group Managing Director) and has acted as Chief Executive since 1995.
Speaking on the recent changes at Shell, van der Veer comments: “This new structure will increase accountability in the company, and improve Shell’s performance on delivering new projects and developing new technologies.”
