Is this the hardest job interview in the world?

An unprecedented interview technique will be rolled out in the United Nations this week, as eight candidates vie for the position of Secretary-General.

Billed as the toughest interview in the world, the candidates will be asked to stand in front of the UN general assembly, and will be given ten minutes to outline their vision for the intergovernmental organization.

Some commentators have labelled the process “ten minutes to save the world”.

The public interviews are the first in the UN’s 70-year history, with the process previously conducted internally, The Telegraph reports.
