MI5 hiring 2,000 staff with cryptic job adverts on street

Prime Minister David Cameron has pledged to recruit 2,000 more employees across the UK, following a need for heightened national security.  

Cameron explained on the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme, that there would be a 15% increase in intelligence staff at MI5, MI6 and the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). And it seems that GCHQ has already started recruiting, by placing cryptic messages all over the UK, in “tech hot-spots.”

Job adverts have been seen scrawled on the pavement outside game software companies in Newcastle, as well as being plastered all over the floor in Shoreditch, often referred to as Silicon Roundabout, due to the amount of start-ups located in the area.

The adverts read: “GCH-Who? Technical opportunities. GCHQ-careers.co.uk.”
