Irish teacher's job application in South Korea rejected due to "alcoholism nature" of Irish people

It was most definitely not a case of ‘the luck of the Irish’ for a teacher from the Republic of Ireland who applied for a job in South Korea and was turned down because of the "alcoholism nature" of Irish people.

English teacher, Katie Mulrennan who applied for a teaching job in Seoul told the BBC that the agency she applied through said their client did not hire Irish people, because they drank too much.

The rejection email read: "I am sorry to inform you that my client does not hire Irish people due to the alcoholism nature of your kind".
