Microsoft CEO says women asking for higher pay is 'bad karma'

The Chief Executive of Microsoft has apologised after claiming that women should not ask for a pay raise as it would not be “good karma”.

While speaking at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing event in Arizona, Satya Nadella was asked for his advice to women looking for a salary increase.

He replied that women should have faith that the system will give them the right raises as they go along.
