
A Genetics student claims that he faces losing his part-time job with supermarket giant, Tesco after management at the store took a dislike to his new haircut.
Max Cole, studying at York University has said it is “totally wrong” that managers could make decisions about an employee based on their personal opinions of how that person looks.
The 20-year-old, who only recently began employment at the Crediton store near his home in Colebrook, started the job with an “ordinary” haircut, but last week changed his style to a Mohawk with red highlights – a style he was previously allowed to have when he worked at the store as a teenager.
