Sacked David Moyes to get £5m compensation

Manchester United manager, David Moyes, has been sacked after just ten months in the job.

Moyes is expected receive £5million in compensation, a year’s salary, after missing out on key performance targets including qualifying for the Champions League.

Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt will guide the side until the end of the season when a long term successor will be named.
