Inspiring the next generation of female technology creators

The National Museum of Computing has launched a new gallery dedicated to women in computing in an effort to address the gender imbalance in the technology industry.

During WWII women made up most of the personnel at Bletchley Park, home to the secret code-breaking unit, running the machines and cracking codes.

However, today, in a group of school children who attend the National Museum of Computing’s Learning programme, only one pupil in ten is a girl.
