FedEx has unveiled an enterprise AI Education and Literacy program for employees across its worldwide network, describing the training suite as a cornerstone of its long-term transformation strategy.
It is designed to cultivate consistent AI knowledge and build practical skills that support responsible use of advanced technologies.
Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO of FedEx Corporation, said the focus is on preparing people for an era shaped by data-driven decision-making. “The future of business is being shaped by data and AI more than ever before,” he said.
Subramaniam added that as FedEx expands its use of AI-powered tools, employees remain central to the company’s direction. “We’re investing in AI education tools to help our team members grow their skills; support safer, smarter work; and unlock new opportunities across the business.”
The curriculum includes internal learning programs covering AI fundamentals and hands-on modules that reflect different job functions. The company said its goal is to create a shared understanding of AI concepts across teams so employees can apply new tools with confidence and clarity.
FedEx partners with Accenture on customized training
Accenture has been brought in to deliver additional, specialized training resources. Using LearnVantage, its AI-native learning platform, Accenture will provide live instruction, skill recognition and personalized development pathways. The learning tracks are intended to meet employees where they are in their professional journey and help them build capabilities that are specific to their roles.
The company said the training supports responsible AI use within day-to-day functions while giving leaders the skills to integrate AI into team operations and cross-functional workflows. FedEx leaders will learn how to embed AI into activities that support wider transformation goals.
Vishal Talwar, chief digital and information officer at FedEx Corporation, described the program as an essential step in preparing the workforce for the company’s next phase of innovation.
“We are on a journey to empower our people with AI literacy and the practical technology skills needed to keep driving our business forward,” he said.
Talwar added that employees will gain access to modules, certifications and mastery opportunities that support long-term career development.
Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, said the partnership is intended to help FedEx unlock broad AI value.
“FedEx is making supply chains smarter for everyone by putting its people at the center and providing them with the training they need to thrive in the age of AI,” she said.
