Internal promotion | Costa Coffee appoints Global Head of Talent Acquisition

Costa Coffee has appointed Olivia Sarson as Global Head of Talent Acquisition, confirming a permanent step up after she previously held the role on an interim basis.

Sarson moves into the role from Global Talent Acquisition Manager, where she was responsible for Costa’s global hiring strategy and led a team delivering talent across multiple functions and markets. Her remit also included employer branding, with a focus on positioning the business as an inclusive and attractive workplace across its international operations.

The promotion marks a continuation of Costa’s preference for internal progression within key people functions, with Sarson stepping into a role that oversees global hiring strategy and delivery at a time when competition for talent remains competitive across markets.

Before joining Costa, Sarson spent more than 17 years at Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she started in support roles, including Personal Assistant to the HR Director and Administrative Assistant within the communications team, before progressing through increasingly senior positions. Most recently, she led end-to-end talent strategy across corporate UK functions, at No7 Beauty Company, WBA Global Sourcing, and International Retail.
