Equity Prime Mortgage (EPM) has elevated Anjanette Valenta to Chief People Officer after only a year as Senior Vice President, People Operations.

Valenta joined the company in September 2024, bringing over two decades of HR leadership across public and private organizations. At EPM, she has driven scalable HR systems, talent acquisition models, leadership development pathways, and comprehensive rewards programs.

Christopher Gordon, Chief Operating Officer at EPM, described her as both strategic and people-focused. “Over the past year, Anjanette has been an amazing addition to EPM,” he said. “She approaches every challenge with a strategic mindset and a deep care for people. Her promotion to Chief People Officer is well deserved, and I have no doubt she will continue to raise the bar for what great people leadership looks like at EPM.”

Eddy Perez Jr., CEO of EPM, said her approach had already transformed the business. “Anjanette's leadership has been transformational in a very short period of time,” he said. “She has elevated our people strategy, strengthened our culture, and built programs that ensure EPM continues to be a place where professionals thrive. Promoting her to Chief People Officer is both a recognition of what she has achieved and a commitment to the future we are building together.”

Career path and vision

Valenta’s background includes senior HR roles at Banc of California and other financial services companies, where she steered organizations through growth, transformation, and regulatory challenges. She has also provided consultancy to emerging businesses on HR and organizational strategy.

Reflecting on her promotion, Valenta emphasized her commitment to people leadership. “I am honored to step into the role of Chief People Officer at EPM,” she said. “In just one year, I've seen how powerful this organization's mission is, and I am excited to continue building a culture where people feel empowered, supported, and inspired to give their very best.”

EPM framed her promotion as both recognition of past achievement and investment in the company’s future growth.
