Ye & Donda Academy hit with (yet another) ex-employee discrimination & hostile work environment lawsuit

Ye, formerly Kanye West, is facing a fresh lawsuit from an ex-employee who accuses the music mogul of 'frequently screaming' and 'berating' him due to the color of his skin, and firing him for refusing to shave his dreadlocks.

In the suit, filed in Los Angeles on Friday, Benjamin Deshon Provo, a former security guard at the Donda Academy, levels several shocking allegations including discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, a hostile work environment, and other labor code violations.

Provo, who was hired in August 2021, says he experienced “severe emotional distress” following his experience working for Ye.

According to the lawsuit, Ye – and other members of his management team – allegedly treated Provo and other black workers less favorably than their white colleagues.
