IBM’s CEO has revealed that just a fifth of his workforce is back in the office for more than three days a week.
Speaking to CNBC, CEO Arvind Krishna also said he doesn’t think the number of employees who return to the office full-time won’t ever surpass 60%, adding “I think we’ve learned a new normal.”
Despite IBM’s lenience when it comes to remote working, other firms have been far more strict.
Earlier in 2022, Goldman Sachs asked colleagues at its New York City HQ to return to their pre-pandemic working routines, a move which came just weeks after only half of the company's 10,000 employees showed up to the NYC office when it reopened on February 1, after Omicron restrictions were lifted.
