Glassdoor has revealed the winners in its 17th annual Employees' Choice Awards, recognizing the Best Places to Work 2025.
The awards, based on anonymous employee reviews submitted over the past year, celebrate organizations in the US and UK that excel in workplace satisfaction, transparency, and career support.
The US list highlights 100 large companies (more than 1,000 employees) and 50 small to medium-sized companies (fewer than 1,000 employees). Winners were determined using Glassdoor’s five-point rating system, with scores extending beyond the thousandth decimal point. Bain & Company earned a 4.6 rating, making it one of only two organizations—alongside Google (ranked 28)—to appear on every list since the awards began.
Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor’s CEO, explained: "The Best Places to Work award is more than just recognition - it’s a trusted guide for job seekers striving to find not only a great workplace but also a better worklife.”
Best performing companies in 2025
Business consultant Bain & Company led the large-company list, followed by Crew Carwash, In-N-Out Burger, NVIDIA, and Eli Lilly and Company - all receiving ratings above 4.5. Microsoft, eXp Realty, and MathWorks also featured in the top 10.
For smaller companies, Parry Labs topped the rankings with a 4.6 rating. Other standout performers included Victors Home Solutions, Syndax Pharmaceuticals, GlideFast, and Grow Therapy.
This year’s list saw several new entries, including Motorola Solutions (20), S&P Global (33), and Progressive Insurance (85). Companies such as Salesforce (16), Procter & Gamble (22), and Meta (52) made comebacks after previous absences, signalling renewed employee satisfaction and engagement.
Tech companies continued to dominate, representing 26 entries on the large-company list. Their presence has been declining year-over-year, however, as industries such as healthcare, finance, biotech, retail, and manufacturing have gained traction, each contributing eight or more companies to the rankings.
Employee insights
Employees who submit reviews on Glassdoor are asked to rate their employers across several categories, including career opportunities, culture and values, diversity and inclusion, compensation, work-life balance, and senior management. Reviews also measure overall job satisfaction, CEO approval, and the likelihood of recommending the company to a friend.
For HR leaders, the awards provide a useful barometer for workplace trends and best practice, highlighting employee attitudes, levels of engagement and prevailing winds around certain buzzwords and new ideas.
