KFC, McDonalds and M&S staff forced to risk dangerous snow travel

Hundreds of Scottish staff were forced to travel to work ­despite last week’s weather warning, after bosses made them ignore the threat-to-life alert caused by the snow and icy conditions.

Lloyds Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, Marks & Spencer, KFC and McDonald’s were among those accused of forcing their workers to make the dangerous trek, according to a survey from the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC).
