Well Pharmacy names HR Director

Well Pharmacy, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain, has made their Interim HR Director a permanent fixture in their HR department.

Ben Turner will be HR Director following a six-month interim appointment. He has previously worked as Head of HR at One Stop. Prior to that he was Learning and Development Lead for Tesco.

Turner said: “We are going through a really exciting period of transformation at Well. I am passionate about fully including, engaging and supporting all our colleagues through these changes. Our people are what makes us different and I’m committed to nurturing the existing talent within the business through the development of a number of career pathways, as well as attracting the best new talent to join us.

“Our new Expert Clinical Practice Programme launched last week with 51 of our pharmacists starting their three-year diploma - a great example of how we are investing in our people [and] enabling them to meet the future needs of our customers. Working in partnership with Keele University, this helps to develop current practice and offers an internal talent pipeline for future clinical and professional roles within the business.”
