Redundancies | Office staff hit hard as Burberry axes 1,700 jobs

Burberry will cut around 1,700 jobs over the next two years, in a sweeping cost-cutting drive aimed at reviving the British luxury brand's fortunes.

The cuts - roughly a fifth of its global workforce - will primarily affect office-based roles, with the company also planning to scrap the night shift at its Castleford factory in West Yorkshire, where its signature trench coats are produced.
