EAP provider let clients listen in on employee helpline calls

One of the biggest suppliers of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP), let third-party organisations eavesdrop on confidential helpline calls without the awareness or permission of users, according to a new BBC investigation.

Health Assured provides EAPs, which often include short-term counselling, to 13 million employees in the UK and Ireland.
