UK firms to test '9-day fortnight' & flexible start/finish times in new trial

Campaigners for the four-day work week have announced a second trial period of the working model will begin later this year, with an increased emphasis on other flexible arrangements such as start & finish times, compressed hours and a nine-day fortnight.

Following a previous trial that began in 2022, the 4 Day Week Campaign and flexible working consultancy Timewise have partnered to launch a second four-day week pilot in the UK this Autumn, with research support from University of Cambridge, Boston College and the Autonomy Institute.
