London-based CEO Neil Froggatt has been charged with promoting racially-fuelled hatred by placing stickers around the city with Pokemon-style characters mocking President Obama and Mayor Sadiq Khan, along with racist phrases.
Froggatt, who owns and runs management consultant company Shiro Bara (which translates from Japanese to ‘White Rose’), placed the stickers in locations including a Tesco cashpoint, London Underground stations, Old Malden newsagents and various streets around the city.
One sticker cited in the case featured an image of Mayor Sadiq Khan along with the phrase ‘Gotta deport ‘em all’ – a reference to the harmless Pokemon slogan ‘Gotta catch ‘em all’, referring to the various types of Pokemon available in the game.

The 48-year-old, who originally comes from Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to charges of racially and religiously aggravated criminal damage, and possessing the stickers with intent to destroy property at Blackfriars Crown Court where Judge Ian Darling informed him that, due to the severity of the racial slurs used in the stickers, he could face a significant jail sentence.
