Does record unemployment reduce the quality of work on offer?

This week, ONS’ labour market statistics revealed that UK unemployment is at a record low with almost half-a-million more people in work than a year earlier.

However, not everyone is sure that this equates to quality jobs being on offer. Ian Brinkley, Acting Chief Economist at CIPID, believes recent impressive stats could be down to the poor nature of work available.
