Candidates sprinkling their resumes with clichés are nothing new. And now, the phrases that recruiters are most tired of hearing has been revealed.
Mobile phones provider O2 asked those involved with recruitment at UK companies how long they spend reading CVs. The Mirror report that a third of recruiters said they spend a minute or less reading CVs. And there are certain phrases that will see some candidates rejected faster than others. Too much jargon can make candidates 72% less likely to get the job, according to the research.
