Kier staff recognised for training achievements

kierThe construction services and property group has celebrated its employees’ training achievements at its bi-annual recognition ceremony.

The achievements of 74 employees from Kier Sheffield were recognised at the ceremony.

Kier’s Senior Operations Director, Phil Oades, presented the employees with certificates for a range of qualifications, including NVQ foundation and advanced certificates in plumbing, plastering, joinery, electrical installation, heating & ventilation, and driver training.

Commenting on the awards, Oades said: "Completing training courses while also working full time is an outstanding achievement and we are proud of everyone who has been successful. At Kier Sheffield we employ almost 1,000 people from the local area and by encouraging participation in additional training opportunities we are ensuring the continuous development of our team.

“The 74 employees who have achieved industry recognised qualifications have each proven their commitment to providing the safest and best possible service to the people of Sheffield."
