BBC appoints talent professional to engage London 2012 staff
The national broadcaster has announced the internal appointment of Daniell Morrisey.
He has been recruited to the position of Talent and Engagement Manager – London 2012, BBC, and will work with the team responsible for the broadcaster’s coverage of 2012’s main events that includes the Diamond Jubilee and the next Olympic Games. Morrisey (pictured) will report to Caroline Prendergast, Skills & HR Director - London 2012, BBC.
Prior to this position, Morrisey held a number of people focussed roles at the BBC which includes HR & Development Manager for BBC Entertainment, acting as a talent executive within BBC Vision Productions and heading up recruitment for BBC NEWS.
Speaking about his new role, Morrisey comments: “People are at the heart of delivering the creative ambitions of BBC London 2012. Culminating in the Olympic Games, 2012 will be a year like no other. My role will be to support the central team who are responsible for the strategy and planning of the BBC’s coverage. Working with Caroline Prendergast the Skills and HR Director London 2012, we will be developing a staff and community engagement strategy as well as attracting the best talent including building on our successful Apprentices scheme.”
